About the Children’s Arbor Day Program

Each year, Keep Denton Beautiful celebrates National Arbor Day by giving free Arbor Day presentations and complimentary tree seedlings to Denton students through the Children’s Arbor Day Program. In 2016, more than 1,100 students in 20+ area schools participated in the program. Since the first Children’s Arbor Day event was held by KDB in 1997, the program has provided tens of thousands of trees to Denton-area children and their families.

This year, we’re excited to offer presentations for both THIRD GRADE and PRESCHOOL age students! In addition to the free, in-school Arbor Day presentation, schools may also select one of the following:

A) Free Redbud tree seedlings for students to plant at home;

B) A free 3-inch caliper (15-gallon) tree for your school campus (delivery and planting services included, to be arranged by KDB);

C) Free tree seedlings AND a free tree for your campus!
